Ficus

The genus Ficus includes an impressive number (about 850) of woody species, trees, shrubs or vines, native to tropical and subtropical forests around the world. Among the best-known species are F. australis, F. densifolia, F. benjamina, F. elastica, F. lyrata, F. stipulata, F. pumila. Species of the genus Ficus originate from tropical and subtropical East India and Australia, but representatives of the genus are found on all continents except Antarctica.
