Ficus, leaves that are starting to have spots
Hello!
I have had this ficus for about 4 months. I water it every 10 days. For a few days now the leaves have started to have spots and dry out (as in the attached pictures). What could be the cause? How can I treat/save it? Thanks!Attachments:

Hello. In order to help you with recommendations and advice, please give us more details about the growth and care of the plant: what are the environmental conditions (light, temperature, humidity), what is the source of the liquid used for watering, whether the substrate dries out before watering, whether you have carried out treatments or if you have applied fertilizers and any other relevant information. Also, please check the plant carefully and let us know if you notice any other symptoms of disease (deposits, powders, discoloration, white fuzz, fine webs on the underside and topside of the leaves, etc.) or pests. In case you notice symptoms of disease/pests, please attach clear and relevant photos of them.
DaDaniel9 March 2024Good evening! Thank you for your answer. At the moment I have “stabilized” the ficus. I have identified two factors that may have affected the plant. Airing the room through a door that is close to the plant, the outside temperature being well below 0 degrees and possibly excessive watering.
I will answer your questions punctually: Water source: tap;
Average temperature in the room: 20,5 degrees; Light: average, near a window;
No symptoms of illness visible.
Thank you!Identifying the factors that affected the plant is an important first step towards recovery. Exposure to low temperatures through cold draughts can cause stress to the plant and lead to the browning of leaves. In this case, it is recommended to remove the affected leaves and to follow its specific care requirements (Ficus, plant care and growing guide), to water moderately and to apply a specific ficus fertilizer such as Fertilizer Ficus Freund, 350 ml, in spring, which supports the regeneration of the plant after a period of stress, ensuring a luxuriant growth throughout the year.
