Shrubs

Fruit shrubs are fruit-bearing plants with a wide range of cultivation in almost all European countries. Species of fruit shrubs have spread because of the climate and terrain suitable for these crops. Among the most common species cultivated are blackberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, and strawberry. However, in recent years, there has been a significant increase in interest in other species. Some of these are sea buckthorn, chokeberry, fig, gooseberry, elderberry, hazelnut, goji, etc. The fruits of fruit shrubs are an important and necessary source of food. They are rich in vitamins and other beneficial substances for the body. Also, an important role in food and economically is played by the products resulting from industrialization - jam, compote, juice, syrup, fermented or alcoholic drinks, dried fruit, etc. They are also common in home gardens or small spaces in various private or public areas. Growing them in these contexts is a leisure activity. Fruit shrubs species are appreciated primarily for their fruit, but also for their minimal care requirements.
