Raspberry

Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) is a fruit-bearing shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family. It grows as a bush and can reach heights of 1.5-2 m. It has draining roots and biennial stems with thorns on the aerial part. The plants have leaves consisting of three or five leaflets, pubescent on the underside. The flowers are white, grouped in inflorescences. Flowering takes place in May-July, depending on the variety. In terms of fruiting, most varieties fruit only once a year, in summer. The stems grow vegetatively in the first year and form fruiting buds and in the second year they fruit on the side shoots formed in spring. Raspberry plants have high requirements for soil and atmospheric moisture.
