I’m not sure if they’re green eggs or green larvae, but there’s a lot of them.
Hello. In the attached photos the presence of ants and aphids (most probably Aphis gossypii or Myzus persicae – Aphids - pest management) can be seen. Regarding ants, they are not harmful to plants and their presence is caused by the substance released by the aphids, also called “honeydew”, which contains sugar in its composition and attracts them.
In our product catalogue, Fizimite, 1 litre is the only insecticide approved for the control of aphids in raspberries – it is applied by spraying, as recommended in the product description.
Another insecticide that has aphids in its control spectrum (but is only approved for fruit trees, not for fruiting shrubs) is Karate Zeon 50 CS, 2 ml (the general recommendation for aphid control: 1-2 treatments 7-10 days apart, according to the instructions on the label).
Information on the good practice of applying phytosanitary treatments is given in the following article: Phytosanitary treatments - environmental and labor protection.
In the future, for insect monitoring, it is recommended to regularly use an adhesive trap such as Interior & Garden Insect Trap. The pests are attracted by the color of the paper and stick to the special adhesive. This way, you will be able to detect a possible attack early and take specific measures, depending on the pest present.
In order to stimulate the overcoming of this period of stress and to ensure the optimal supply of nutrients, we recommend to fertilize the raspberries with specific products: Wuxal Iron Fertilizer Eisendünger, 250 ml or AMN Powerfertiliser, 500 ml by watering at the roots or AMN Optiferrum, 500 ml by foliar spraying, according to the instructions in the description of each product. Between two successive treatments (foliar treatments with the insecticide and foliar fertilizing with a foliar product) it is recommended to respect an interval of 7-10 days.
