Conifers
Conifers are a division of plants botanically called Pinophyta. It includes 8 families, 68 genera, and more than 600 species of trees and shrubs, among which the most common species are fir, spruce, pine, Douglas fir, larch, cypress, juniper, yew, etc. They are part of the gymnosperm group, having cones in which the uncovered seeds are arranged. Most of them are characterized by the straight trunk, pyramidal crown, and acicular, persistent foliage.Â
