Hello. In order to be able to help you with advice, please check carefully and let us know if you notice any other unusual symptoms (deposits, growths, holes on the stems, delimited discolorations, sticky substances or others). Also, please mention when the symptoms of deterioration started, describe the environmental conditions in the area (light, temperature, wind), specify how often you watered and how much water you used in the warm season, and any other information that may be relevant in this case.
CVCsendes Vasile15 March 2024Hello!
I haven’t noticed any other unusual symptoms.
The deterioration started a year ago.
Watering was done with a drip system every 2 days, 30-40 minutes per each watering.
The environmental conditions are those specific for the capital.Hello. In this case, the nature of the deterioration cannot be accurately determined on the basis of the attached photographs and the information provided. The yellowing and slow drying may be due to a combination of factors, including high and constant soil humidity during certain periods (depending on the volume of water that reached the base of the conifers during the period mentioned), poor soil quality and soil compaction, nutrient deficiencies and others, depending on the case.
For the time being, it is recommended to remove all the brown plant parts and use a fertilizer such as Soil Activator Manna Bio Bodenaktivator, 5 kg, AMN Nordalge, 500 ml or Tree Shrubs, 1 litre, according to the instructions in the chosen product description. Additionally, periodically, you can apply a fertilizer that is specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of conifers, such as Evergreen Fluid, 350 ml or Fir Fluid, 350 ml, by foliar spraying. These fertilizers support the plants’ resistance to stress factors, increase foliage density and help prevent deficiencies and the browning of foliage. It is applied once during this period and it can be applied regularly during the following growing season, according to the specifications in the description of each individual product.
During the growing season, it is recommended to ensure optimal growing conditions (Thuja, planting guide and care work) and keep the hedge under observation. If you identify any unusual symptoms such as those listed in the previous response, please come back with additional information and close-up photos (focusing on the symptoms of deterioration).-
