Thuja, fungicide for ornamental plants
Hello, please recommend me a fungicide similar to Topsin 70 WDG. I have been using Topsin for years, for the ornamental plants in my yard (Photinia, Prunus Lauroceratus, various types of Thuja etc) and have had very good results, but I see it is no longer available. Thank you.

Hello! In order to be able to help you with a recommendation, please give us more information about how you care for your plants: the source of the water used, how you water them, whether or not you have carried out treatments or applied fertilizers, the dose used and any other relevant information. Also, please attach some clear photos of the affected leaves and of the plants as a whole.
GeGerhard2 April 2024Hello,
The watering is done by drippers and the water comes from a well (I haven’t turned them on yet this year, I had planned to do it next weekend).
I usually fertilize with Osmocote Pro at the beginning and end of the season.
I am attaching a couple of pictures with the spotted leaves and closed (tight) leaves.
Thank you very muchAttachments:

In the case of conifers, treatments against foliar diseases are generally carried out with copper-containing fungicides such as Champ 77 WG, 20 g or Coppermax, 30 g (in a dose of 20 g/10 l water) or Bouillie Bordelaise WDG, 50 g (in a dose of 50 g/ 10 l water), by spraying the leaves.
In the case of Photinia plants, the symptoms in the pictures are similar to those caused by a leaf spot disease. In this case, remove the affected leaves and destroy them by burning (do not leave them on the ground), with well sharpened and previously disinfected tools (Lady Pruner). Subsequently, it is recommended to carry out two treatments, alternating every 7-10 days a copper-containing fungicide (e.g. Champ 77 WG, 20 g, in a dose of 20 g/10 L water) with Amistar, 10 ml (in a dose of 10 ml/10 L water). Specifically, the first treatment is carried out with Champ 77 WG, 20 g, and after 7-10 days Amistar, 10 ml is applied. Spray the solutions as finely as possible, so as to achieve an even distribution on the plant, both on the topside and on the underside of the leaves. Fungicide treatments are recommended to be carried out on days with positive temperatures (preferably above 5℃), without strong wind or precipitation. When foliar treatments are applied, it is recommended to water the roots with a fertilizer that stimulates root development and therefore a healthy and vigorous growth, such as AMN Nordalge, 500 ml.
It should also be kept in mind that high and constant moisture in the soil can promote various root diseases. For this reason, it is recommended to water trees and ornamental shrubs with larger amounts of water at longer intervals. This allows the soil to dry out before watering, allowing the roots to breathe.
