Hello! As a general note, in the case of ornamental plants, since the occurrence of diseases and pests are unpredictable (in time and space), it is rather recommended to check the plants periodically to detect the presence of pests or symptoms of disease in time and to carry out treatments at the time of their appearance (if the time period between the time of treatment and the actual occurrence of pests / symptoms of disease is long, the residual effect of the products will be exceeded). In such cases, it is advisable to consult a specialist from the first signs of disease.
It is known that plant pathogens develop and cause damage primarily in weak, poorly grown plants, advancing to healthy and vigorous plants only in the case of their mass multiplication (when no measures are taken at the onset of the attack and there are sufficient hosts for the pest/disease). Vigorous plants that benefit from optimal environmental conditions and care are rarely affected by diseases or pests. Thus, it is recommended to ensure optimal growing conditions for the plants and to fertilize them adequately to ensure their healthy growth and development.
Starting in spring, when the plants begin to grow, you can consider applying a fertilizer with a revitalizing and hardening effect on coniferous trees, such as , by foliar spraying.
If you wish, you can also apply a preventive treatment against diseases with a copper-containing fungicide , sprayed on the leaves in a dose of 20 g/10 liters of water.
Regarding the treatment and the fertilizer, it is best to do it when there is no risk of frost and the temperature reaches 10°C.
