Dieffenbachia

Dieffenbachia is a genus of decorative plants by leaves, native to tropical areas of America. It has an upright stem, on which the leaves are arranged alternately. The decorative appearance is conferred by the whitish spots or stripes on the leaves. The sap of the plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, toxic to humans and pets.
