      3 Wish green leaves

      Dieffenbachia, drooping leaves

Hi. The leaves at the base of the plant are very droopy. It had 3 other leaves at the base that were the same, dried up and I removed them. It is placed in a well lit hallway with no direct sunlight. It was planted in November from rooted cuttings and has since lost 3 leaves. The plant is on its 4th new leaf since I got it and they are quite large. The temperature is between 22-23 degrees, the humidity between 35-40% and there are no draughts. I water it about twice a week when the top soil is dry.

Hello. Overall, the appearance of the plant seems ordinary, with slight symptoms of deterioration, most likely associated with the stress suffered during planting and handling. The drying of the basal leaves is a common phenomenon, which occurs with plant aging and growth in height. It is recommended to ensure optimal environmental conditions and proper care of the plant (Dieffenbachia, plant care and growing guide), and to monitor its development for a period. To increase humidity, you can consider spraying the plant with filtered water. Watering is recommended only when the substrate is dry on the surface (up to a depth of about 5 cm), with optimal amounts of water. After, the water should not stagnate at the base of the pot or in the tray. Additionally, you can slightly loosen the surface of the substrate in the pot.
To stimulate the optimal development of the roots, you may consider using a fertilizer such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, by watering at the roots, as recommended in the product description.
In case you notice any other symptoms (pests, spots, delimited discolorations, mold or others), please come back with focused photos and detailed information about the observed symptoms.
