Euonymus

The genus Euonymus comprises several species of flowering, decorative shrubs, found in parks and gardens as solitary specimens, hedges, or even pots. They are prized for their persistent, deep green or variegated foliage. They originated in eastern Asia and have spread easily to parts of Europe. In the UK, some species are used to make spindles for spinning wool.
