Monstera propagated by cuttings – the leaver are drying after planting
Hello, the cutting was planted in the ground a week and a half ago. It had healthy roots and since planting it was sprayed every day with water for humidity. It has been watered only once since planting. The growing leaf has turned black, as it can be seen in the attached picture. What can I do to it? Thank you

Hello. It is known that the success of plant propagation by cuttings can be influenced by numerous biotic and abiotic factors, and it is not guaranteed. At the moment, to stimulate the formation and expansion of the roots, you can consider administering a fertilizer such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, by watering at the roots, according to the indications in the product description. It is recommended to respect the specific care requirements of this species, as detailed in our article : Monstera, plant care and growing guide. Subsequently, if the condition of the plant is stable and new growth is observed, it is recommended to apply a foliar fertilizer (according to the specifications on its label) that was specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of green indoor plants: Organic Spray for Indoor Plants Zimmerpflanzen, 500ml. It stimulates the healthy growth of plants and revitalizes weakened plants that lack vigor. The evolution of the plant cannot be predicted.

Recommended articlesVGValentina Gheorghe18 March 2024Good evening,
I accidentally broke the plant. From the main stem an old stem broke off together with the seedling.
I planted them in a pot, one next to each other.
What can I do to save the stem and its seedling?
I have attached pictures of the plant.
And the stem where it broke off.
In the picture you can see how I put the broken ones in the ground (on the right). The seedling is raw green.Attachments:

ELEmilia L19 March 2024Hello! It is recommended to keep the broken part in water until it grows roots that are at least 5 cm long before planting it in the substrate. At the moment I don’t think it is ok to keep it in the same pot as the mother plant because the broken part has no roots and so the water applied to the mother plant will be too much for the future plant. To help the mother plant grow you can apply a fertilizer for green plants.
VGValentina Gheorghe26 March 2024Good evening. I put the broken stem in water, but it turned black and soggy. Then the seedling detached from the stem.
What should I do to make it grow roots? Does it need more light? Or what kind of water should I use?
Should the water be changed daily? I am also attaching pictures of the large stem and the seedling, both of which turned black. Do these black parts need to be trimmed?Attachments:

ELEmilia L27 March 2024At this stage there is nothing you can do to them, they have rotted. You probably didn’t change the water often enough, you poured water over the petiole or it didn’t have enough stem to grow roots.
