Citrus, old lemon tree, massive leaf drop
Hello,
I have a 66 year old lemon tree and for the last week its leaves have been falling off excessively. It has been mistakenly watered twice with fertilizer. I then took out a part of the soil and removed some of the excess water, picked his lemons to stop him from struggling to ripen them and now he is still drooping. We keep it at 22-23 degrees. What could we do to not lose it? -

Hello. In this case we recommend removing the substrate from the surface and fill the pot with a substrate that is specially designed for citrus (Citrus Professional Substrate, 20 litres), then remove all the fruit and administer 2-3 treatments with a product such as Terra-Sorb Foliar, 100 ml, applied by spraying, in a dose of 25 ml/10 L water, at an interval of 7-10 days between treatments. Alternatively, a fertilizer such as AMN Optiferrum, 500 ml can be applied by watering. This is an organic fertilizer, specially designed for weak and sensitive plants. The application of AMN Optiferrum, 500 ml should be done according to the recommendations in its description. Next we recommend to take proper care of the plant, following the information in our article: Citrus, plant care and growing guide.
