Cherry laurel, how do I care for the hedge after planting?
Hello! I have planted on February 20, 2024 the hedge. There were 100 Prunus Laurocerasus trees in pots with a height of 80-100cm. I made them a drip irrigation system and at the roots I put soil fertilized with Yara-Mila (16-27-7) at the recommendation of the boy who made my irrigation system. I want you to help me and tell me if I need to water them some more and when? If I need to prune them and when? The nursery recommended that I prune them in the fall and spray them once around March-April with AMN Bona Vita. What advice can you give me?

Hello. In this case, you can consider using AMN BonaVita, 500 ml in March-April, as specified in the product description. As it has an effect on improving the quality of the soil and stimulating rooting, it is preferable to apply it by root watering. Additionally, during the growing season you may consider the regular application of a foliar fertilizer that stimulates a healthy and vigorous plant growth, such as Terra-Sorb Foliar, 100 ml or AMN Optiferrum, 500 ml, by foliar spraying, according to the instructions in the description of the chosen product.
Pruning can indeed be done in autumn, with a sharp and disinfected tool (e.g. Power Pruner). If necessary, the damaged parts of the plant can also be removed during the growing season.
It is recommended to respect the environmental and care conditions specific to this species (Cherry laurel, planting guide and care work). As the activity and spread of plant pathogens can be stimulated by high and constant soil humidity, watering is recommended to be carried out during the growing season only at ground level, depending on the recorded temperatures and rainfall, only when the soil is dry on the surface.-
