Cherry laurel, copper leaves, change of color
Good evening! For about 2 weeks now the leaves have started to turn a copper colour. I have planted them over 3 years ago. I would like to mention that out of the 10 plants only a part of them have this problem.
Thank you!Attachments:

Hello. The cherry laurel shrubs seem to be affected by a combination of biotic and abiotic factors, such as inadequate soil properties, lack of balanced fertilizing, high soil moisture, pathogens, etc., depending on the case. Some symptoms are similar to those produced by different plant pathogens, possibly bacteria or fungi (for exact identification a laboratory analysis is necessary).
For the time being, it is recommended to remove the damaged leaves and destroy them by burning, followed by two treatments 7-10 days apart with copper-containing fungicides such as Champ 77 WG, 20 gand Coppermax, 30 g. Both products are applied by foliar spraying in a dose of 20 g / 10 L water. Spray the solutions as finely as possible, so as to achieve a more uniform distribution on the plant, both on the underside and topside of the leaves and on the stem (Tech1). It is advisable to prepare a volume of solution corresponding to a single treatment (respecting the mentioned dosage), as the already prepared mixture does not have a shelf life longer than 24 hours. More information about the optimal application of phytosanitary treatments can be found in our article:Â https://www.armuro.com/en/phytosanitary-treatments-environmental-labour-protection/.
From March, it is recommended to use a fertilizer that stimulates the expansion of the roots, healthy growth and increases the resistance of the plants: AMN Nordalge, 500 ml (by watering at the roots, as recommended in the product description). Additionally, 10-14 days after completion of the foliar fungicide treatments, a foliar fertilizer that stimulates the regeneration of plants after certain conditions of stress can be applied, such as Interior Plant Regeneration Ackerschachtelhalm RTU, 500 ml, according to the instructions in the product description.
Afterwards, the fertilizer can be continued regularly. In the future, suitable environmental conditions and proper care are essential for a vigorous and healthy growth (Cherry laurel, planting guide and care work).
Given the appearance of the cherry laurel shrubs in the photos and those mentioned above, it is not possible to say exactly how they will develop in the future.-

Thank you very much!
Could you give me a recommendation on where to do the lab tests, please? The tests can be carried out at a Plant Protection Institute in your area.
DZDragos Zanfir16 March 2024Thank you!
One more question: do I apply the 2 fungicides at the same time, or do I apply them a few days apart?Hello. The two fungicides are applied at 7-10 day intervals. More precisely, the first treatment can be carried out with Champ 77 WG, 20 g, and after an interval of 7-10 days, the fungicide Coppermax, 30 g, can also be applied.
