Cherry laurel, dry tips and pierced leaves
Hi.
It started to dry at the tips.
I’m referring to the green part that has grown now, this fall.
It’s drying out and it looks like it’s eaten by something.
What should I do?
ThanksAttachments:

Hello. In order to be able to help you with a recommendation, please give us more information about the plant: when did the symptoms appear, exactly? How often do you water it and how do you water it? When you water the lawn, does the water reach the plant? Have you carried out any treatments? Are pests present (check carefully) or are there symptoms of a disease (spots, whitish and powdery deposits, discoloration, etc.)? If so, please attach several clear photos of these.
CyCyphcl28 November 2023Hi.
I planted it a year ago.
I watered it when I watered the lawn.
But I don’t think it’s because of that.
I watered it the same way last year.
And I didn’t have this problem.
And I didn’t water it in the last month.
It rained and we turned off the sprinklers.
It started drying out two weeks ago.CyCyphcl29 November 2023I only treated it when it had problems.
Something was eating its leaves at night.
In the spring.
I’ve been using some of your products.
And the problem went away. But then it didn’t dry out at the tips.
Now I don’t see any pests on it.It is important to mention that watering with sprinklers is contraindicated, as it can lead to leaf diseases and leaf burns (the symptoms will not appear immediately, but after some time). In this case, it is recommended to remove the affected parts as they will not recover and to treat it with a fungicide such as Amistar, 10 ml, in a dose of 10 ml/10 L water. To increase the effectiveness of the fungicide, it is advisable to add an adjuvant such as Break Thru S 240, 2 ml, in a dose of 2 ml/10 L to the solution. Spray the mixture as finely and evenly as possible on the plant (topside and underside of the leaves and stem).
Regarding the pest, its identification is not possible without photos. However, if you consider it necessary, you can carry out a treatment with a broad-spectrum insecticide, such as Mavrik 2 F, 5 ml, in a dose of 5 ml/10 L water, together with the adjuvant Break Thru S 240, 2 ml. The insecticide treatment can be carried out 5-7 days after the fungicide treatment.
During this period, in order to increase the plant’s resistance to frost and to the other environmental conditions during the cold season, you can consider applying a fertilizer that is specially designed for this: Fertilizer 0-0-40 Azet HerbstKali, 2 kg, applied in a dose of 30-50 g/m². Spread the granules around the plant, incorporate them into the soil, then water thoroughly.

Recommended articlesCyCyphcl1 December 2023Hi.
About how many g of fertilizer should be applied to each plant?
I’ve seen it says about 50 grams/sqm.
But per plant that much as well?
ThanksThe dose is proportional to the surface, therefore, it is recommended to apply according to the manufacturer’s recommendations: 30-50 g/sqm around the plants. This fertilizer can also be applied to ornamental trees and shrubs, perennials, fruit trees, lawns.
