Viburnum

Viburnum is a genus comprising about 150-175 species of shrubs in the family Adoxaceae. They are native to temperate areas of the Northern Hemisphere, with a few specimens from subtropical areas (Africa and South Asia). Species in cold temperate climates have deciduous foliage, whereas in warm temperate species it is persistent. It is used ornamentally to decorate parks and gardens. The bark of some species is used in herbal medicine, in the treatment of certain diseases. In Russia and Ukraine, Viburnum is a shrub of cultural value.
