Viburnum Kilimanjaro – why are the leaves dropping?
In the spring I bought a potted Kilimanjaro viburnum. The plant evolved well until the excessive heat began. From that moment the leaves began to wilt and fall. The plant was kept outside, on the terrace, not directly in the sun. Is it possible that it can’t stand the heat or is it just a coincidence? Could it have been excessively watered from our care not to suffer from the heat? In the last two weeks, seeing that she was suffering from the heat, I put her in the house, where the temperature is lower. Although the branches are still green, no other new leaves appear. Thank you for the advice!

Hello. From the information provided, the symptoms were most likely caused by abiotic stress, mainly caused by high temperatures. In this case, if the branches are green, you can consider the administration of a fertilizer that helps to revitalize and healthy growth of the plant, such as Yokosan, 100 ml , applied by watering. However, given the current condition of the shrub, it is not possible to specify exactly how it will react after the treatments. In the future, for proper development, it is important to comply with the environmental and care requirements specific to this shrub. More information can be found in our article (Viburnum, planting guide and care work).
