Boxwood

Boxwood is a genus in the Buxaceae family comprising about 70 species of shrubs and dwarf trees, native to southern Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. Most are specific to tropical and subtropical climates, but there are also frost-resistant species. They grow between 2-12 m tall, have dense foliage and a compact shape. It can be pruned very well and is therefore often used for hedges.
