Ivy

Hedera, is a genus of plant that has 12-15 alpine species or woody plants, is part of the family Araliaceae, native to Western, Central and Southern Europe, Macaronesia, Northwest Africa and between Central and South East Asia to Japan and Taiwan. Interestingly, decorative ivy can live up to 100 years. Hedera grown on a flat surface remains a creeping plant, not exceeding 5-20 cm in height, but on surfaces suitable for climbing, such as trees, natural rock areas or artificial structures such as fences and built wooden structures, it can climb to at least 30 m above the ground.
