Thuja Columnaris – some plants have a lighter colour
I planted these thuja shrubs in November 2021, now in autumn I noticed that one of them is a lighter green than the others, what could be the reason? I only applied Atonik and manure to them.

Planted in spring, I know that from the urine of animals they turn black but here they dried first and then turned black. At least that’s what it looks like in the picture.. What do you think?

Hello. The drying and blackening of branches can be caused by numerous biotic and abiotic factors, including contact with pet urine, unfavorable climatic conditions, excessive humidity, compacted soil, poor drainage – factors that can block the absorption processes in certain parts of the roots.
Pruning (Lady Pruner) and burning of affected branches is recommended to reduce the spread of necrotic areas and the application of a cupric fungicide such as Champ 77 WG, 20 g, 20 g/10 L water, by foliar spraying.
Regarding the conifer in the first photo (light green leaves), it looks good overall. The lighter leaves may be a characteristic of the plant, or a symptom of abiotic stress: nutrient deficiencies, environmental conditions during this period, etc.
It is therefore recommended to remove the vegetation around the stems of all plants, to lightly loosen the soil at their base, to water moderately and to administer 1-2 treatments with a natural fertilizer, rich in beneficial micro-organisms: AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, by watering at the roots, as recommended on the label. It improves the quality of the soil, it supports root development and increases the resistance of plants to various stress factors.
Starting in spring, it is recommended to apply regularly, throughout the growing season, a foliar fertilizer that is specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of conifers: Fir Fluid, 350 ml, applied by spraying, according to the recommendations on the label.
