Pine, from autumn began the massive fall of its needles
Hello,
I have a blue pine that was planted in September 2022. So far I have not applied any treatments. Since November 2023 it has started to lose its needles drastically. I haven’t seen any pests. I would like you to recommend a treatment to help it recover. I am attaching pictures of what it looked like before and what it looks like now. Thank you!Attachments:

Hello. The nature of the deterioration cannot be accurately determined from the attached photos and the information provided. The defoliation and slow drying may be due to a combination of factors, including insufficient light (pines being heliophilous species) and high/constant humidity in the soil (accentuated by the presence of the foil).
For the time being, it is recommended to remove all the brown parts of the plant, i.e. to remove the foliage at the base of the conifer and to gently loosen the topsoil. This material (as well as any other natural or synthetic material – gravel, grassy layer, mulch of various types) keeps the humidity high and constant at the soil level, hinders the normal circulation of air at the roots, favoring the development and propagation of pathogens. It is important to keep a permanently loose and clear portion of soil around the conifer, at least in the area where the roots spread.
Subsequently, to stimulate a vigorous and dense regrowth, you can consider the regular application of a root fertilizer during the growing season (e.g. AMN Nordalge, 500 ml, Tree Shrubs, 1 litre, by watering at the roots, following the instructions in the chosen product description). Additionally, periodically, you can apply a fertilizer that is specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of conifers, such as Evergreen Fluid, 350 ml or Fir Fluid, 350 ml, by foliar spraying. These fertilizers sustain the plants’ resistance to stress factors, increase foliage density and help prevent deficiencies and browning of the foliage. Further, it is recommended to ensure the optimal growing conditions for this plant species (Pine, planting guide and care work). Given the aspects mentioned, respectively the current state of the pine, it is not possible to accurately predict its future development.-
