      Orchids, crown rot

      Hi, everybody! 😌

I am writing in the hope that you can help me with choosing the best solution for my sick orchid.

One of my orchids had crown rot, but unfortunately I noticed it late. It currently only has one little leaf left, and that one is also affected. I treated it (with isopropyl alcohol + cinnamon), applied fertilizer, and it seems that from the end of November when I noticed the problem and up until now, it is still in the same stage with that one tiny leaf. (Some of the surface roots seem a little drier)

It had a stem that I didn’t cut, hoping it would produce a keki, but it seems to have only flower buds.

Please advise what I could do to provide the best chance for the plant to survive. Should I cut that stem? What else could I do to get it to grow new leaves?

      Thank you very much! 🌱🥺

Hello. The degree of deterioration of the orchid in the attached photos is quite advanced (in some cases, once crown rot has settled in, the plant cannot be saved), so the chances of the plant recovering are extremely low. If you feel that the plant can still sustain the growth of a keiki you can try cutting the stem below the first flower bud and spraying it once a week with Biplantol Orchid, 500 ml. Given the deteriorated state of the plant in the inserted photos, as well as those mentioned, its future development cannot be predicted.
