Hello. As far as I can see, you have over-watered the plant and the pot needs to be changed. When transplanting the orchid, it would be advisable to remove the affected parts and apply a copper-containing fungicide to prevent or eliminate pathogens, such as Bouillie Bordelaise WDG, 50 g in a dose of 7.5 g per 1 L water. It would be good to also use a foliar fertilizer to help the plant recover faster, such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml in a dose of 2-6 mL dissolved in one liter of water, applied regularly by watering or spraying at an interval of 2-4 weeks. If you don’t have a sprayer, you can use this one: Desinfecta+.

FlFlorentina6 January 2024I neglected to mention that it would be good if you used a special orchid substrate with a slightly acidic pH, such as Orchids Professional Substrate, 10 litres.

Hello. Given the current state of the plant, it is not possible to say exactly how it will evolve in the future (the chances of its complete regeneration seem low due to the blackened portion at the base). In addition to the above recommendations, it is recommended to consult the information and advice detailed in our articles: Orchid, plant care and growing guide and Indoor plants - Repotting.
In case the condition of the plant will not be better in the next period, you can consider both propagating it from the rosette and propagating it from the roots and healthy base – as detailed in similar topics in the Armuro Community: https://www.armuro.com/en/forums/about/orchid-can-it-regenerate-from-the-rosette-of-leaves/ and https://www.armuro.com/en/forums/about/orchids-rotting-at-the-base-of-the-leaves/. The success of vegetative propagation from the basal part of the plant or from the leaves is not guaranteed.Recommended articlesOrchid, plant care and growing guideOrchid, information about environmental conditions, care work, propagation, fertilization products, and repotting, from Armuro.Indoor plants - RepottingInformation about how the houseplants repotting is done, the optimal period, fertilization and other care works, from Armuro.Recommended postsAuthorPostsViewing 3 reply threadsWas this discussion helpful?
