Oleander, it’s in a little pot and its leaves are falling off
Good evening!
I have an oleander, grown last autumn/winter from a branch kept in water. In spring I planted it in a pot ~12cm. It grew surprisingly big, bloomed once in June/July and a second time in November, exactly when I was thinking of transplanting it to a bigger pot and preparing it for overwintering. I keep it in my apartment, near the window. I need help please – in the last week a lot of its leaves have fallen off, they are … mummifying somehow, but remain green when they fall. Plus it’s way too big for the tiny pot. I’d also like to prune it though, at least one branch, which I’ll try to propagate again. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the shoots at the tips. I think it wants to bloom again, from one stem, but another one next to it is drying up … I have attached some photos. Thank you very much! -

Hello. Overall, the appearance of the oleander seems normal, ordinary. The drying and dropping of some leaves during this period can be a normal phenomenon. For the time being it is recommended to ensure optimal conditions for dormancy (low temperatures, medium light, sparse watering).
Further, it is recommended to take proper care of the oleander (Oleander, plant care and growing guide), i.e. to monitor the development of the plant for a while. In case you identify other symptoms (pests, delimited discolorations, mildew, spots or others), please come back with focused photos and detailed information about the existing environmental conditions and the care provided.
As far as transplanting is concerned, it is recommended to carry out this operation in spring, if possible. Transplanting is recommended to be carried out in a pot of suitable size, not too large, provided with water drainage holes, respectively in a suitable substrate (e.g. Green Plants Professional Substrate, 10 litres). Subsequently, after transplanting, it is advisable to use the natural fertilizer AMN BonaVita, 500 ml – this helps to improve the quality of the substrate, supports root development and increases the plants’ resistance to stress factors (3-4 treatments by watering at the roots at intervals of 10-14 days are recommended). It is vital to respect the general conditions recommended for this operation: Indoor plants - Repotting.
Regarding pruning, it is also recommended to be carried out in spring, with well sharpened and disinfected tools (e.g. Floristic Pruner).-
