Catalpa wilted leaves
You can find the attached pictures. I used fertilizer for the lawn and at planting, it was used around the planting hole special soil. The trees are in a permanently sunny area, showing no sign of pests. Thanks.

Hello, the grass around the trees can keep the humidity high at the roots, which can damage the root system. In general, it is ideal to keep the soil around the trees loose, free of weeds or vegetation and to ensure adequate humidity (using an adequate volume of water, avoiding excess), and the soil to dry almost completely between two waterings. It is recommended to remove the severely affected leaves and apply two treatments (every 5-7 days), with a fungicide such as Amistar, 10 ml , applied by spraying in a dose of 10 ml / 10 l water. Also, to stimulate the recovery of the foliage and help the plant to overcome the stress period, 10-12 days after the application of treatments, the application of a foliar fertilizer such as Terra-Sorb Foliar, 100 ml can be considered. To help the trees get through the stress period, it is also recommended to administer a fertilizer that also stimulates rooting, such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml. More information about dosage and application periods is described on the products page. Additional information about care is presented in the following article: Catalpa, planting guide and care work.

Recommended articlesBoBogdan30 March 2022Thank you. Should the trees recover with the treatments you mentioned? Is there a risk that they will die?
- This reply was modified 2 years ago by Armuro.
Normally the trees have a chance to recover, but this aspect depends a lot on the moment when, as well as on the way the planting was done, on the environmental conditions, and on how much they were affected by the stress suffered. It is advisable to apply the mentioned treatments and to follow their evolution. More details about planting can be found on the blog: Ornamental trees and shrubs – Planting guide.
