Carnations, their leaves are turning yellow
Hello,
I’ve seen that lately the carnations have started to turn yellow at the base, but I don’t know why. I should mention that there are several with this problem and I applied Atonik fertilizer, but it did not help. They also seem to me to be a bit “eaten” , I suspect it is a pest . I have not used any treatments. They are in a greenhouse with 3-4 layers of Agryl, covered at night.
Thank you.Attachments:

Hello. In order to help you with recommendations and advice, please give us more information and details about the growth and care of the plants: how often they are watered, what is the temperature and source of the water, how much the substrate dries out before watering, what is the temperature in the greenhouse during the day and at night, tell us if there are big temperature differences, how often they have been fertilized and what products have you used. Also, check your plants and pots very carefully and let us know if you notice any other symptoms (deposits, spots, a white powder, fine webs etc.) or pests (small insects on the leaves, slugs, if you can find any mice in the greenhouse or their droppings etc.). If you notice symptoms of diseases/pests, please attach clear and relevant photos of them.
AnAndreea17 February 2024I didn’t notice any stains or webs. But I did not see until now that they are pierced as you can see in the picture. I don’t heat the greenhouse, but I cover with Agryl, 5 layers each time. I water the flowers when necessary, not excessively. I’ve been using Atonik 1ml/1l water for the past 2 weeks. Thanks

The slight deterioration of the plants could be caused by one or more factors: large temperature difference between day and night, lack of adequate fertilization, the possible presence of slugs, low water temperature, etc. In this case, it is recommended to create optimal conditions for growing this species (Carnations, planting guide and care work) and to ensure their proper care, as well as to administer a fertilizer that will provide the plants with the necessary nutrients for optimal development and flowering (Flowering Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml or Wuxal Flowers Fertilizer Blütenpracht, 1 litre, administered according to the information provided by the manufacturer). If you notice the presence of slugs you may consider using a molluscicide such as Gel Bio Plantella, 1 litre, applied according to the information on the product label. Further, it is recommended to monitor the evolution of the plants for a while and if other symptoms appear or the ones mentioned are worsening, please send a message with photos.
