Hello. Carnation shows symptoms of a pest attack (possibly mites or thrips). In this case, we recommend 1-2 treatments, 7-10 days apart, with an insecticide such as , in a dose of 5 ml/10 L water. Spray the solution as finely as possible, so that it is distributed as evenly as possible on the plant, both on the lower and upper part of the leaves and on the stem. It is important to prepare a volume of solution corresponding to a single treatment (respecting the mentioned dosage), because the mixture already prepared does not have a shelf life longer than 24 hours.
7-10 days after the treatments, it is advisable to use a maintenance product such as , applied directly by spraying. It can be used for plants that have been attacked by pests.
In addition, it is also recommended to regularly use special fertilizer for potted plants, such as , applied by watering, as recommended in the product description.
More information on the care of these species can be found in our article: Carnations, planting guide and care work.
