Good evening, the leaves of my carnations are starting to turn yellow at the base… what could be the cause and what should I do?
Thank you!Attachments:

Hello. Please give us more details about the care of your plants: how long have you had them, what are the environmental conditions (location, temperature, humidity, light, etc.), how do you water them, at what intervals, how much water do you use, what is the source of the water, what is the temperature of the water and tell us if you have carried out any treatments or if you have applied fertilizers. Also, please let us know if you notice any symptoms of disease (spots, deposits, powders, discoloration) or pests (check carefully) on the plant. If you do, please attach several clear, relevant photos of them.
MaMaria28 December 2023Good evening, they have a fungus on the topsoil… I water them every 3-4 days… they stay at 14/15 degrees, the humidity is 71%.

Hello. The most likely reason for the carnation’s deterioration is a combination of factors such as: improper watering, possibly a large difference between the water temperature and the substrate temperature, high humidity, the appearance of a fungal disease, etc. In this case it is recommended to remove the affected leaves and apply 1-2 treatments at 7-day intervals with Dynamic, 100 g, administered by watering at the roots, in a dose of 10 g/ 10 L water (when the substrate is dry in the first centimeters from the surface). It is important to prepare a volume of solution corresponding to a single treatment (respecting the mentioned dosage), because the already prepared mixture does not have a shelf life longer than 24 hours. Before the treatment you can replace the substrate affected by mold with a substrate such as Universal Substrate Promo Garden, 20 litres.
