Avocado, brown spots on the leaves
Good evening! I have an avocado plant whose tips and leaf edges keep drying out, which eventually dry out completely. At first I removed the leaves that showed these signs, for a while I didn’t see the symptoms anymore, but now they have reappeared and almost killed the plant. Can you advise me what to do and tell me what the cause is? I allow the soil to dry between 2 waterings, and the plant does not stay in direct sunlight.

Hello. Brown leaves can be caused by a number of factors, such as: improper watering, dry air, use of tap water (which may contain fluoride, chlorine, salts), nutrient deficiencies, etc.
In this case, it is recommended to water the plant moderately, using a sufficient amount of water so that the substrate is completely saturated and dries slightly before watering again. As it needs a higher atmospheric humidity, it is recommended to regularly spray the leaves with non-chlorinated water or to place the pot on a layer of permanently damp gravel. Also, if watering with tap water, leave the water in an open container for 24 hours beforehand. More information on how to care for this plant can be found in our article: Avocado, plant care and growing guide.
Next, you may consider applying a fertilizer specially formulated for houseplants, such as Organic Spray for Indoor Plants Zimmerpflanzen, 500ml, by watering at the roots, according to the recommendations on the label. This fertilizer can be applied 1-2 times during this period, and you can resume its application in spring.-
