Avocado, brown spots with white stripes
Hello, I have had this avocado from the fall of 2023. I kept it in water for 6 weeks. I did this before successfully, but this time it didn’t work and the plant has some white stripes on the dry side. Please tell me what to do and how to solve the problem. Thanks

Hello. In order to help you with recommendations and advice, please give us more details about the growth and maintenance of the plant: when you planted it in the substrate, what type of substrate you used, how often you water it, whether the substrate dries before watering, what the environmental conditions are (light, temperature, humidity), whether there are draughts or heat sources in the vicinity of the plant and whether you have carried out treatments or fertilized it. Also, please check the plant carefully and let us know if you notice any other symptoms (deposits, powders, discoloration, white fuzz, fine webs on the topside and underside of the leaves, etc.) or pests. If you notice symptoms of disease/pests, please attach clear and relevant photos of them.
FAFetescu Alex17 March 2024I water it once every 2 days, I keep it in a humid room and I planted it somewhere around October 2023. I used universal substrate and it dries out partially before watering. I keep it in the light. The temperature is above 16 degrees. There are no other symptoms and I haven’t fertilized it yet.
Most probably, the slight deterioration of the plant could be caused by one or more factors such as: constant and high humidity in the substrate/at the roots, lack of nutrients, possible temperature fluctuations, etc. In this case, it is recommended to remove the severely affected leaves and to water the plant moderately, using a sufficient amount of water (so that the substrate is completely hydrated), and to allow the substrate to dry slightly before watering again. It is also important to supply the plant with the necessary nutrients by using a fertilizer such as Interior Plants Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml or Manna Plant Fertilizer Bio Pflanzennahrung, 1 litre, administered by watering, in the dosage specified in the product description. More tips and information on growing and maintaining this plant can be found in our article in the Armuro Community: Avocado, plant care and growing guide.
