Radishes

Radishes (Raphanus sativus) are annual or biennial herbaceous plants of the Brassicaceae family, cultivated for their edible roots. Radishes have a short stem and a rosette of elongated leaves between 5 and 30 cm long. The root of the plant is cylindrical or conical and usually red or white. The plant produces red or pink flowers. The radish is generally grown as an annual, surviving only one growing season, and can reach 20-100 cm in height, depending on the variety.
