Oak

The oak (Quercus) is a genus of the Fagaceae family, comprising about 600 species of deciduous trees, specific to the northern hemisphere. They are native to the Americas, Europe, Asia, and northern Africa, and are widespread in temperate and tropical areas. They grow spontaneously in deciduous and mixed forests or are planted in parks, gardens, as solitary specimens, or in groups and alignments.
