Lavender

Lavender belongs to the Lamiaceae family, well known for its aromatic and spicy species. The origin of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is thought to be in the Mediterranean Sea and India. Many species of this genus are cultivated in temperate climates because of the beneficial and ornamental properties of the plants and flowers.
