Tarragon

Tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus) is a perennial plant of the Compositae family, which can reach 70-90 cm tall, with a strongly branched stem, growing as a bush. It has small, glabrous, linear leaves, strongly aromatic due to the content of essential oils. The young leaves and stems of tarragon are used for flavouring culinary preparations and meat and vegetable preserves, with their characteristic aroma and sweet-spicy taste. Due to the volatile oils and substances, it contains, tarragon also has therapeutic effects and is used in medicine.
