Common grape vine

The common grape vine is a perennial, woody plant, cultivated since ancient times. Vines are thought to have appeared in Asia Minor 65-250 million years ago, and the ''domestic'' species formed 7000 years ago. The plant is vine-shaped, the leaves are alternately arranged, large and palmate. The fruits are berry-like, of different shapes and colors, which develop organized in a cluster.
