Pip and stone fruits, bent leaves, ants, notches in the bark
Hello, I have a quince tree, an apple tree and a pear tree that have bent leaves and many ants both on the trunk and on the root. In autumn I sprayed them with Bordeaux mixture and Ovipron. In spring I sprayed them with the same products. Can you please guide me on what else I could spray them with? Thank you!

Hello. The incisions on the trunk are similar to those caused by the buffalo treehopper (Ceresa bubalus) – Buffalo treehopper (Ceresa bubalus) - pest management. The oviposition takes place in autumn, in the bark of young trees, and in spring, at the end of May, the hatching of the larvae begins. The control of the leafhopper is complex and involves a series of measures: removal of the weeds around the trees, careful inspection of the trees in autumn and spring, treatments carried out during dormancy with horticultural oil and with an insecticide (Winter treatments with oils and copper-based products), identification of the most favorable time for the larvae to hatch and application of a treatment with a broad-spectrum insecticide such as Deltasap 2.5 EC, 5 ml, mixed with an adjuvant: Break Thru S 240, 2 ml.
Regarding the leaf curl symptoms, please give us more details: when exactly did the symptoms start? Have there been any unfavorable weather conditions lately? How often do you water them and how much water do you use per watering? Have you carried out any treatments or administered fertilizers? Are any pests present (check carefully, including inside the twisted leaves)? If so, please attach several clear photos of them.-

The trees were planted 2 years ago and last year due to acid rain they started to show signs of disease like those on the bark and many ants both on the trunk and root. Last year I applied Bordeaux mixture 3 times plus Nissorum then Cropmax as foliar fertilizer. In autumn and spring the same Bordeaux mixture 80% copper sulphate and Ovipron oil. I read on your website and made the copper sulphate solution more concentrated and on the apricot it looks like the glue is cleaning off the bark. This I applied last week. The weeds are not at the root. I am attaching more pictures of to the quince on which recently notches are appearing on the bark just like on the apple tree, which I also sprayed with the more concentrated solution of Bordeaux mixture and the symptoms are improving but only on the leaves. As fertilizer I put rotted cow dung at the roots this year but in small quantities. Thank you.

Typically, the symptoms of leaf curling, leaf twisting and the presence of ants are characteristic of an aphid attack. No pests are visible in the photos, but if you notice any aphids, you may want to consider treating with an insecticide such as Deltasap 2.5 EC, 5 ml, applied according to label recommendations.
Regarding the incisions on the bark of the trees made by the leafhopper, please follow the above recommendations.
Also, to stimulate the growth, development and resistance to various stress factors, it is recommended to administer a fertilizer such as Recharge, 250 g, Organic Fertilizer for Fruit Trees, 2 kg or AMN Powerfertiliser, 500 ml, according to the recommendations on the label of the chosen product.-
