Hello! Can I use topas, nissorun, zebra and cabrio in the same mixture? I would like to spray the apple trees that are affected by powdery mildew and the pear trees that are attacked by eriophyid mites. Can I also add cropmax?
Could I preemptively spray the roses, cherry trees and grape vine with this mixture? I should mention that some cherry and apple blossoms haven’t fallen off yet.
Thank you very much!
Hello! For the powdery mildew that infested the apple tree, you can apply 1-2 treatments with Topas 100 EC, 250 ml from the beginning of the leafing period to the moment when the petals fall off, at intervals of 7 days between the treatments to stop the primary infections and to control the secondary infections caused by the powdery mildew. The interval between the treatments is adapted according to climatic conditions, the evolution of the disease and the crop. The recommended dose is 3 ml/10 l water.
For the eriophyid mite (Eriophyes pyri) infesting the pear tree, preventive treatments are very important during the key phenophases which are most prone to their attack (at bud break, before flowering and after petal fall), as well as specific treatments during dormancy: Winter treatments with oils and copper-based products (not administered at this time). For control, it is recommended to apply 1-2 treatments at 7-10 day intervals with an acaricide such as Nissorun 10 WP, 5 g, applied according to the recommendations on the label.
Subsequently, to support a healthy growth, fruiting and to increase the resistance of the trees, it is recommended to apply a fertilizer such as Organic Fertilizer for Fruit Trees, 2 kg or Manna Bio Orgalong, 5 kg (by spreading and incorporating it into the topsoil).
As an informative note, when you want to combine certain plant protection products, it is advisable to read their labels carefully. Incompatible substances ( the name of the active substance or its pH) are usually mentioned on the packaging. In order to establish compatibility, it should be taken into account that before using a mixture of products (fungicides, insecticides, liquid fertilizers) a micro test of physico-chemical compatibility should be carried out in a small volume of water.
Do not use the mixture if the products react with each other, if deposits occur, if a precipitate or a persistent foam is formed, etc. To avoid any risk of reducing the effectiveness of the products or of phytotoxicity, it is advisable to apply both plant protection products and fertilizers individually or to reduce the number of components in the mixture to a minimum.
