Mouse between the floor and the ceiling in the attic

Hi, I have a mouse in the attic between the floor and the ceiling. I have a small space where two supply pipes pass, in which I can insert the bait. I also tried through the holes in the spots, but I wasn’t successful. Until now, I used glue from the store (I made a circle, and in the middle I put cheese), at the spots I put water in a milk bottle, thinking that maybe it will come and fall in it. I don’t know what else to try to catch him. I think it will destroy everything inside the attic. I have a solution: to cut the plasterboard from the ceiling and to annihilate it, but I’m just thinking about the mess and the costs. What do you recommend to do to exterminate the intruder?

The rodent’s routes should first be observed. It surely leaves the space where it hides to feed or drink water.
On these routes, adhesive traps need to be mounted such as: 96M, 2 pieces. As an attractant you can apply peanut butter in the middle of the traps.
When placing the traps, use gloves. If the mouse feels the human smell, it may become wary and no longer approach the traps.
