Mimosa, brown spots on the leaves after controlling thrips
Hi. I have 2 Mimosa pudica that about a month ago suffered a thrips attack. After 2 treatments with mospilan, I managed to get rid of them, but it seems to me that the plant still has some attacked leaves (brown at the base, and eventually they wilt and fall off). I don’t know if they are still infested with thrips, if it is another pest or if it is another environmental cause. What should I do?

I should also mention that there are no other pests on the leaves, and the plant otherwise looks healthy (it has buds). On some (healthy) leaves you can see a small black dot (residues from thrips?).
Hello. In this situation, the most likely reason for the slight deterioration of the plant was the stress suffered from pest attacks and treatments, or a combination of unfavourable abiotic factors (temperature fluctuations in the last period, decrease in light intensity due to shorter days, inadequate watering, lack of fertilization and others, depending on the case). At the moment, to stimulate the regeneration and healthy growth of the plant following the stress suffered, it is recommended to administer a specific fertilizer, such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, when watering the plant, as recommended on the label. It is a natural fertilizer that contributes to the improvement of substrate quality, supports root development, increasing plant resistance to stress factors. More information about the environmental and care conditions for mimosas can be found in the following article: Mimosa, plant care and growing guide.
Indeed, following a thrips attack, small black dots may remain, which represent the excrement of the pests. The evolution of the plants in the future cannot be predicted.-
