Mango, brown spots on the leaves and the presence of a colorless liquid
Hello,
I have a mango tree that I’ve grown from seed for about a year.
For some time now I have noticed that the leaves are becoming spotted and one of them has fallen off. On both the topside and the underside of the leaves there is a colorless substance all over the leaf. Next to the Mango plant I also have 3 orchids, 2 Phalaenopsis and 1 vanilla. So far on them I have not seen any such symptoms, but I don’t want the problem to spread either.
The Mango plant stays inside the house, by the window, it has natural light all day long and the temperature indoors does not drop below 20°C. The atmospheric humidity is between 40%-60% (I have a thermo hygrometer). Watering is done when the substrate dries out, minimum the first 2-3cm.
The symptoms started a while ago, initially I thought I didn’t water it in time, the soil was quite dry. But the problem persists.
I transplanted it about half a year ago, the soil used was “Floria, substrate for green plants and palms”, and for better drainage I added a handful of perlite.
I didn’t apply any treatment to it. I just wiped its leaves, periodically, with sanitary alcohol disks or water.
Please, if you can, help me identify the pest and remedy the problem.
Thank you very much!Attachments:

Hello. In order to be able to help you with a recommendation, please attach 1-2 photos of the topside of the affected leaves and specify if the colorless liquid is only found on the spots, mention if you notice any other symptoms on the stem and if there are pests present (small dark formations that can be easily detached from the leaves or stem).
CoCornelia18 March 2024Hello,
The colorless and slightly sticky liquid can be found on both sides of the leaves, both on the affected ones, those with spots on them, and those without spots. The stem has small white spots. Unfortunately no pests could be detected. The new leaves don’t seem to have the same problem at the moment.Attachments:

These symptoms may be caused either by abiotic factors (environmental and/or care conditions) or biotic factors (a phytopathogenic disease), but it is difficult to identify the exact cause from photographs alone.
Thus, to be on the safe side, it is recommended to remove the affected leaves and carry out 1-2 treatments, at 7 days intervals, with a fungicide such as Champ 77 WG, 20 g, in a dose of 20 g/10 L water, by foliar spraying.
It is important to prepare a volume of solution corresponding to a single treatment (respecting the mentioned dosage), because the already prepared mixture does not have a shelf life longer than 24 hours.
Afterwards, 10-12 days after applying the fungicide treatment, you can opt for a special fertilizer for plant protection: Organic Spray for Indoor Plants Zimmerpflanzen, 500ml. It is administered directly by spraying, as recommended on the product page.
