London plane tree – what can I apply for yellow leaves?

Hello, in the last week, six London plane trees planted along the fence, have more and more yellow leaves appeared, especially around the trunk and less on the outer branches. Also, one of them has something like a thick spider web (or so it appears) and the leaves look dry. I mention that the plane trees were planted a year ago at about 2. 5 m from each other and 1. 5-2 m away from the fence. The soil is covered with mulch foil and gravel and irrigation is done every night, 15 minutes with a drip irrigation system (when it is not raining). Could you give us an explanation and what would be good to apply? Also, when can be pruned? Thanks.

Hello, the London plane trees show the symptoms of a disease, favored by excessive moisture in the soil. First of all, it would be best to remove the foil and gravel from the base of the trees, because they maintain moisture in the soil and block the evaporation of water, thus contributing to the creation of optimal conditions for disease. It is also recommended to keep the soil loose, free of weeds or vegetation, and ensure adequate humidity (using an adequate volume of water, avoiding excess), and the soil to dry almost completely between two waterings. Currently, you can remove the affected leaves and apply 2-3 treatments (every 7 days) with a systemic fungicide, such as curzate manox ( Curzate Manox, 25 g ). The solution is sprayed on the leaves, in a dose of 25 g / 10 l of water. After 7-10 days from the application of treatments, you can preventively apply a treatment with an insecticide: movento ( Movento 100 SC, 7.5 ml ), 7. 5 ml / 10 l water. In addition, in order to favor the regeneration of the trees, it is indicated to administer a special fertilizer to improve the soil quality, which increases the microbial activity and intensifies the absorption processes at the root level: Organic Soil Activator, 350 ml.
