Hello, from the attached images, the lilac seems to be affected by sunburn. In this case, in order to stimulate the recovery of the foliage and to help the plant to overcome the stress period, you can apply a foliar fertilizer such as Terra-Sorb Foliar, 100 ml, applied by spraying in a dose of 25 ml / 10 l the water. Two or three treatments can be performed at an interval of at least 14 days between them. Given that it is recently planted, it is recommended to apply a natural fertilizer, which stimulates rooting and healthy growth such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml , which is applied by watering, with a dose of 30 ml / 10 l water. One or two treatments can be performed at an interval of 10-14 days between them. It is recommended that the treatments be performed early in the morning when the temperatures are not very high. During, as well as towards the end of the day, the plant is under thermal stress and does not respond very well to the applied treatments.

VNVioleta N.8 April 2022The lilac is placed on a hill, on the east side, adjacent to part of the neighbor’s fence, where they are cypresses, and part of the street fence. It has plenty of light and it has developed well so far: the bushes are 6 and 4 years old. The symptoms I think started a little after the leaves began to open from the bud, the flowers were already grown but not flowering, buds. I was still waiting for it to bloom and I noticed that chlorosis. Yesterday I noticed the same symptom in a small jasmine bush in the immediate vicinity of the lilac. My husband applied herbicide (roundup) about a week ago, but he says the lilac was already affected because he bought the herbicide with the dithane fungicide they recommended to us at the store after he brought them a sick leaf.

These symptoms are similar to a phytotoxicity reaction. Currently, to stimulate leaf recovery and help the plant overcome the stress period, it is advisable to apply a fertilizer such as Terra-Sorb Foliar, 100 ml, in a dose of 25 ml / 10 l water. 2-3 treatments can be applied, by spraying on the plant, at an interval of 10-14 days. At the same time, it is recommended to administer an organic fertilizer such as AMN Verde, 500 ml. Due to the content in micro and macroelements, fertilizer stimulates the microbiological activity of the soil, which leads to improved fertility and thus to the revitalization and healthy growth of plants. The treatments are applied by watering, at an interval of 2-3 weeks, in a dose of 50 ml / 10 l of water. Recommended articlesVNVioleta N.8 April 2022Hello, my lilac was also attacked by a disease that spread to four bushes, of 3 varieties, planted in the same corner of the garden. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but the forsythia bush full of flowers was also attacked, the flowers turned brown and soft. The lilac leaves grew deformed and curled. The flowers are the same, curled. I attach pictures. In the picture with the flower, I noticed a white web. I don’t know if it’s the cause of the disease or an attack of mites. I applied dithane once but it didn’t have any effect. Can you help me with some advice? I was thinking of going with champ today (as an alternative to dithane last week), do I need anything else, for example, systemic fungicides and acaricide? Thanks!

Hello. In order to help you identify the problem, please provide us with more information about the lilac: where is it located, what are the environmental conditions (light, temperature)? When did the symptoms start, exactly? Have you used any herbicides near that area (or your neighbors)? Is there a pest on the plant (check the underside of the leaves carefully)?
