Kalanchoe, burnt leaves
Hello,
I own a pink Kalanchoe. Since the beginning of summer it has started to have these burnt leaves on the edges. I moved it to another windowsill away from the strong rays of the sun, but it still hasn’t recovered.
Although we are in spring, the sun is not strong, and I only water it when the ground is dry, the leaves still haven’t recovered.
Please recommend me something!
Thank you!Attachments:

Hello. In order to help you with recommendations and advice, please send us more photos of the deteriorated leaves as well as detailed information about the growth and care of the plant: what are the environmental conditions (light, temperature, humidity), how often you water the plant, if the substrate dries out before watering, if there are draughts or heat sources in the vicinity of the plant, if you have carried out treatments or if you have applied fertilizers and any other relevant information. Also, please check the plant carefully and let us know if you notice any symptoms of disease (spots, deposits, powders, discoloration, white fuzz, fine webs on the underside and topside of the leaves, etc.) or pests. If you notice any symptoms of disease/pests, please attach clear and relevant photos of them.
ThTheodora9 March 2024Hello,
Thank you for your answer!
The flower sits on a brightly lit windowsill, the temperature is between 21°-23°, and I water it once a week when the soil dries out – the soil dries out before watering again.
There are no draughts and no heat sources
I don’t see any pests, spots, discoloration, white fuzz or webs.
I only see these burnt leaves at the tips.
Thank you!Attachments:

The affected leaves will not recover, so it is advisable to remove them. Since there are many affected leaves and the plant is elongated, you can consider shortening the shoots, even to half their length, to ensure a richer and more compact growth of the plant in the future. The cut shoots can be used for propagation by cuttings. After pruning it is recommended to take care of the plant according to the information in our article (Kalanchoe, plant care and growing guide) and provide the necessary nutrients, using a fertilizer that is specially formulated for succulent plants (Cactus, 250 ml or Kakteendunger Bonsai & Cacti Fertilizer, 250 ml), administered by watering, according to the information provided by the manufacturer.
