How can I save the Linden tree
Hello. I planted a lime tree last fall. It went well over the winter, in the spring the buds appeared, most of which did not open, drying out. The 2-3 leaves that have grown larger are dried at the top. The torso has a kind of green Moss on it. I also attach pictures. Initially, because it was still cold outside, I didn’t particularly water it. After noticing that the leaves no longer open, I started to water it. Please advise me what to do to make them recover. When I put fertilizer for the grass, I also put it in the area of the trees. But that was long after I noticed that the buds had dried. Thank you very much.

Hello. In order to help you with a recommendation, please provide us with more information about lime: where is it located, what are the environmental conditions (soil, light, temperature)? How often do you water it and how is it watered? When you water the lawn, does the water reach the lime tree? Have you applied any treatment? Is there any pest on the plant (check caution)? You can also cut 1-2 branches to see if they are green.

It is located in front of the house, it receives sun almost all day. It is watered daily early in the morning with about 5 liters of water. The soil I don’t know what kind is at great depth. On top I have applied forest soil. Until 15-20 years ago it was an apricot orchard. The lawn is not yet watered daily, last year we watered manually in the morning and in the evening. I did not apply any treatment, I only sprinkled lawn fertilizer, but after the buds were already dry. I am attaching recent pictures of the leaves that I told you are dry at the top … after the recent rains they have completely dried out. I didn’t get to cut the branches. I noticed a green and yellow Moss on some branches.

PAPopescu Anamaria10 April 2022Can I apply AMN Promot to the linden tree that has lost its leaves? How often? Is the dosage the one you recommended? Can I also put it on the other trees: another linden, a magnolia and 2 birches… I used AMN Trees recently. I also applied Terrasorb over the weekend. Thanks.

AMN Promot can also be applied to other tree species, according to the indications mentioned above. The treatment can be administered monthly, during the vegetative growth period.
PAPopescu Anamaria10 April 2022Thank you very much. Also during the period when I planted the lime tree with problems, I planted another lime tree in the garden behind the yard. It is leafy, but it has a kind of wound on the stem since I bought it. I'm attaching pictures. Thanks.

In this case, it is recommended to clean the affected area by scraping, until healthy wood is observed (with a clean, disinfected tool). Then it is advisable to disinfect the wound with a copper-based solution, such as Bouillie Bordelaise WDG, 50 g . A sachet of Bordeaux mixture dissolves in a small amount of water (0.5 liters) so as to form a paste. After disinfecting well with the blue solution and it dries, you can apply a healing mastic, such as Tree plaster, 300 g or Healing Spray Spruhfix, 100 ml.
