Fir tree, leaf browning/drying
Hello! What treatment could I apply to a silver fir tree that has been watered with bacteria-infested water? First they watered it , then got the report that the water is not potable. And the leaves have turned brown…and so has the grass next to it, which was watered with the same water…so far, no treatment has been applied!

Hello! In order to help you with a recommendation, please provide us with more information. What were the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, location, how often was the watering done)? What other symptoms can be observed? Are there any pests (deposits, holes, fine webs)? Please attach some clear photos of the affected parts and of the plant as a whole (including the basal part).
MIMIHAELA21 November 2023Hello! Thank you for your reply. The silver fir tree is kept in a garden. The temperatures have been above the normal average for this month, between 18-25 degrees during the day and around 15 at night.
The tree was watered every 2 days…
Today I noticed some very fine webs and I was also informed that a treatment was applied yesterday: champ+ atonik.Attachments:

Hello. It is well known that the slight drying out of the interior of the crown and of the base of the crown is a normal phenomenon in conifers and occurs with the growth and thickening of the canopy, as well as the limitation of the penetration of light inside the crown. The symptoms can be exacerbated by several factors including excessive moisture at the root level and lack of evaporation due to vegetation at the base of the plant. In terms of water drainage and avoiding water stagnation at the roots of the conifers, it is recommended to remove the vegetation around the stem of the tree and gently loosen the soil. Since the plant in the attached photos looks good overall, we recommend the use of a granular fertilizer such as Fertilizer 0-0-40 Azet HerbstKali, 2 kg, to increase the plant’s resistance to frost. The fertilizer is applied by spreading it around the tree in a dose of 20 – 30 g/m², followed by incorporation and watering. Subsequently, from spring onwards, when the plants start to grow, for a good growth and development, it is recommended to use specific fertilizers: granular, by incorporation (Conifers and Decorative Shrubs, 1 kg) and a foliar fertilizer (Fir Fluid, 350 ml or Evergreen Fluid, 350 ml), applied periodically, as specified in the products description.
