Coniferous trees and shrubs, information on the application of fertilizers
Hello… I planted on September 10th 4 trees in 2 different places (1 in one spot and the other 3 in another spot). The 3 have turned yellow and the other has remained dark green. I wanted to order the evergreen fluid fertilizer…I’m thinking they don’t have enough potassium, phosphorus etc…I hope they didn’t die…when I put my hand on them the needles don’t fall off. It’s just that the description of the fertilizer says it should be applied from March, and now it’s January. Until March I’m worried they might die.

Hello. During this period, the conifers are in a period of dormancy and it is recommended to apply fertilizers (especially nitrogen-containing fertilizers) in spring, when the plants start growing. However, given the current state of the plants, most likely caused by the stress suffered during planting, you can administer a natural fertilizer, containing beneficial micro-organisms, such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, when watering, in a dose of 2-6 ml per 1 l of water, 1-2 applications at a 14-day interval. It helps to maintain the microbiological balance of the soil, it supports the healthy development of the roots, increasing the plants’ resistance to stress factors.
And from spring, for a harmonious growth of the conifers, it is recommended to use Evergreen Fluid, 350 ml, 25 ml to 10 L water. Spray the plants 3-4 times during the growing season (not recommended during the day or in strong sunlight). More information about conifer care and fertilization can be found in our articles in the Armuro Community: Ornamental trees and shrubs - Planting guide si Fir, planting guide and care work.-
