Brazilian jasmine
Hello, i moved over the winter the brazilian jasmine to the closed balcony, near the window with direct light only in the morning and in the first 2-3 weeks i was very well. For some time i have noticed the slightly affected main shoot (rusty leaves) and it is gradually spreading to other parts of the plant. Plus all the shoots dry out at the top. What can i do to save it? Thank you!

Hello, please mention some details about the care conditions of the plant: how often do you water it? What kind of soil is used? Did you apply any fertilizer? When did the symptoms appear? Does the pot have drainage holes? What temperatures are on the balcony?

RaRamonaC5 April 2022Hello, thank you very much for the answer! Ever since i moved it to the balcony, i have been watering it weekly, and the pot has drainage holes. Could she be drowned? 🙁 it is placed on a shelf and the temperature in the balcony is around 22 degrees. I have not applied fertilizer to the ground since i moved it to the balcony (november), and the symptoms appeared about 2 weeks ago. Thank you

Hello, from the information provided, the symptoms of jasmine were probably caused by inadequate humidity, but especially by its location on the balcony, near the window. Being a cold-sensitive plant, it can be easily affected by low temperatures during the night (especially if it is located close to the window). In this case, it is recommended to cut down the affected parts, because they will not recover, and to support the plant regeneration after the disease, it is important to administer a special fertilizer that stimulates healthy plant growth following stress: biplantol vital ( Biplantol Vital NT, 250 ml ), by watering at the root, in a dose of 2 ml / 1 liter of water. Subsequently, starting in the spring and throughout the growing season, in order to stimulate the healthy development of the foliage and abundant flowering, you can regularly administer a special fertilizer for flowering: Flowering Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml. Next, it is recommended to care for jasmine according to the optimal conditions necessary for this plant, presented in our article: Jasmine, plant care and growing guide.
