Paulownia

Paulownia tomentosa sin. Paulownia imperialis or "princess tree" is a leafy, flowering tree native to China and Japan. It grows to a height of 10-20 m and forms a large, wide crown with thick branches. It is very fast-growing, in optimal environmental conditions it can grow 3-5 meters tall per year. However, in our country, it is not very long-lived. The name of the species comes from the name of Duchess Anna Pavlovna of Russia, and the attribute 'tomentosa' refers to the pubescent, velvety leaves.
